As part of the agenda to block migration across the US-Mexico border, US Border Patrol has been
rapidly building segments of wall along the left bank of the Rio Grande, and now installing buoys
down the center of the channel. On behalf of the Rio Grande International Study Center, Dr Mark
Tompkins (FlowWest) conducted an analysis of the potential impacts of these structures on flow
patterns and flood impacts.
