Members of the lab will be presenting our work at the ASCE World Environmental and Water Resources Congress in Sacramento 21-25 May. PhD student Vicente Tinoco will present his research on “The new wave of hydroelectric dams in the Andes: How sustainable?” Postdoctoral Visiting Scholar Rafael Schmitt will present, “Big isn’t beautiful: The over-proportional impact of large tributary dams on sediment connectivity and river ecosystems in the lower Mekong river”, and recent PhD Raymond Wong will present “Urban Flood Management: When ‘Silver Bullets’ Do Not Pan Out.”
